Poverty refers to the condition of not having the means to afford basic human needs such as clean water, nutrition, health care, clothing and shelter. Poverty is the condition of having fewer resources or less income than others within a society or country.

Poverty in Pakistan continues to be a source of distress for the country. Poverty is Pakistan’s biggest problem which today’s Pakistan facing, it is interconnected with several elements which are having direct or indirect relationship with poverty.
Poverty has many faces, changing from place to place and across time, and has been described in many ways. Most often, poverty is a situation people want to escape. Apart from the financial dimensions of poverty there are various other facets which make a person poor. For instance in Pakistan there is poverty of opportunity.
It is difficult to point out all causes of poverty in Pakistan but the major causes of are given below:
Government Policies
Corruption
Division of Agricultural Land
Materialism
Lack of Education
Large Scale Import etc.

Solution :
The government should take responsibility & protect the rights of people by rectifying the governance problem.This basically involves working for public welfare, managing & controlling population by creating awareness through media and seminars.Secondly It creates opportunities and end the unequal distribution of wealth among the society by collecting taxation properly and try to listen everybody voice Lower to High Class people and make the Law equal for all people in Pakistan.
